Installation Requirements for Printing Ink Scrapers
- The blade must face upward.
- The installation angle should be 55-65 degrees.
- The position of the scraper and the distance between the plate roller and the ink roller should be appropriate.
Adjust to the correct distance. The gap between the plate and the ink roller varies depending on the drying speed and the size of the plate roller, and the required distance varies.

Adjusting to the optimal gap distance ensures a balance between printing and drying speed.
- Attaching the scraper to the plate vertically allows for clean scraping with minimal pressure and wear.
- The scraper must be vertical and free of ripples. Install and remove the scraper quickly and accurately, ensuring that it is parallel to the backing blade. (Start with the center, then move from the center to the sides.)
- Oscillating. The scraper should oscillate back and forth along the plate axis.
Slight oscillation reduces wear.
It can remove burrs on the scraper caused by the printing roller.
Oscillating prevents loss of image outline.
Each swing distance is approximately 1/2 inch (10-12 mm).
- Pressure
Pressure is controllable and measurable.
The actual pressure remains constant and sustainable.
Minimizing pressure is required to reduce wear.
- Flex
The pressure and support design achieves the required balance and rigidity.
Pressure is calculated based on the thickness of the squeegee and blade backing. During printing, the squeegee flexes.
